I delivered with no meds or anything and hoping 2 do the same again this time round I’m due in 24 days time x

2 unmedicated vaginal deliveries at home, and it's the only way I will give birth. Obviously, if I'm low risk and it's possible, that is my choice. Happy, healthy, safe deliveries are all I want.

Avatar

exactly this 💯 x

Avatar

Hats off to those who did it unmedicated! 👏
I had an epidural but I dilated really quickly so the contractions were constant (went from 1cm to 7cm in less than an hour). Epidural only worked on the right side of my body though 😂 depending on the situation I may do it again if I have another baby, I might not, depends on the circumstance

Avatar

Yes and yes! Definitely the way to go for me.

Avatar

I wanted to go without initially but after induction and being in labor for like 30h and feeling like I will die soon I couldn’t wait to be dilated enough to get an epidural. Anything what happened after was sooo easy compared to what I was feeling before. So next time I will get it as soon as possible for sure

Avatar

same here!! Induction contractions are something else, couldn’t have done it without the epidural

Avatar

yeah I think they might have been stronger, I don’t know really because that’s the only they I delivered but I was having contractions like every minute

Avatar

I was induced without epidural and man it was intense but there is no way in hell I’d get one unless absolutely necessary. Epidurals scare the crap out of me lol

Avatar

i’ve not delivered before either but I’ve always heard they’re worse! The people i know who started labour naturally didn’t need it.

Avatar

I delivered without an epidural and yeah I would do it again.

Avatar

I had just gas and air and would do it again that way :)

Avatar

I got scared and got one though I didn’t plan to so next time I hope to get more support and see if I can go without it !

Avatar

I delivered without an epidural, I had a relatively fast labor after an induction. And I definitely plan on no epidural for the next one too.

Avatar

I wish that was an option for me! Might it helped me not get the epidural I think the pain just hit me all at once and I didn’t have anyone other then husband to help so I got scared and knew I wouldn’t be able to sit still for epidural if didn’t get it soon so I got it. Wish I would of tried other stuff but I was scared 😭 it might of actually been faster had I not though who knows I will switch insurance next time though cause the one I had wasn’t the best and I didn’t have much faith in them but I thank god I got some good nurses during my labor and delivery

Avatar

I ended up having to have an assisted delivery so I was kinda made to have an epidural/spinal block. But if I have another baby I don’t want that to happen again. I got to 10cm with no pain relief so I know I can do it. 😅 just a shame my little girl got herself stuck 🥲. Xx

Avatar

Gas and air only with my son and it was relatively fast labour (13.5 hours from waters breaking at 1cm) so I’m hoping it goes quickly this time 🤞🏻I will do it natural again x

Avatar

Yes, I was induced and in labour for 21 hours with no pain relief 💓 I felt a lot more in control & was scared of pain medication changing my state of mind

Avatar

I only had gas and air, I wasn’t offered anything else, think I was too late as I was already 8cm dilated when I got to the delivery suite. I was kind of surprised to have managed it without anything stronger! although I really believe it depends so much on your pain threshold as well as things like baby’s position, size etc. Everyone and every birth is different!

Avatar

No to an epidural-but only because it was too late to get one, but I did have gas and air and that injection in my bum (forgot the name of it🤣) xx

Avatar

My mom has all 8 of her kids un medicated. I want to do it but I’m so scared.

Avatar

Delivered with epidural, so far have had no effects from it. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I was stuck at 3 cm for over 24 hours so I would’ve been dying without epidural. Plus the cervix checks hurt so badly, I was begging the nurse to stop at one point.

Avatar

i had an unmedicated birth and will %100 do it again! at home next time :)

Avatar

I was 5cm at home when my contractions started to hit.. got in the tub.. rapped meg the stallion through every single one that hit then went 😳 “Babe come get me… I need my epidural!!” 😂

I had “Epidural Me” in big letters on my birth plan. I always planned on getting one.

Avatar

Good job hats off to you 👏👏👏 I could never!

Avatar

Same here, and I would do it again!

Avatar

No epidural and would do it again. But I’m one and done🤣

Avatar

I truly believe epidural is rather hurtful than helpful.

Delivered my first without it and definitely doing it again.

Avatar

Yes all 3 labours 🙃

Avatar

Same and would definitely do it again

Avatar

Gas and air only, although had an assisted birth (episiotomy and ventouse). Pretty sure I had an out of body experience towards the end...

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!
