Hi loves!
I am only a couple of days past my due date, but how have ya’ll been coping with the physical discomfort and emotions? Sleep is horrendous. Nerves are all over the place. Anything my partner does annoys me 😂. And it feels quite lonely too. Just trying to stay positive, but finding it hard.
Love to all of the mamas who have had their little one already or waiting like me. ✌🏽

Who said we’re staying sane? 😂😂
I’m not over yet, 39 weeks. But like I’m done, been done. The pain ain’t it, I need this baby out 😂😂

Ah following because same! Lol I’m 39 w but the waiting is killing me. I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos on birth and stuff to pass the time. Need to find a good book or something to distract me

I don’t think there’s enough distractions at this point 😂

Oof the emotional state as I get closer to my due date has been a roller coaster! I’m just trying to remind myself that the more uncomfortable I am, the closer she is to coming 😂 it’s tough though!! Sending good vibes

Im trying to stay occupied and going on “business as usual” tricking my mind into thinking she’s not due until my induction date of 02/25. I though she would come early and have been driving myself crazy all month. The pain and discomfort is bad now but telling myself postpartum pain is worse so putting it off isn’t the worst.

I’m 39&1 with no signs of labor whatsoever. Honestly from experience I know I’m going to be sad I’m no longer pregnant once baby comes, albeit happy she will be here. So I’m trying to go on business as usual and really enjoy these last days as a family of 3. As challenging as it might be!

I’ve been doing meditations and including the typical positive affirmations…”my baby will come when he is ready.” “I am so excited to meet my baby and my body is uncomfortable.” How can I meet that discomfort? Bath with epsom salts? Get a massage? Bounce on my birth ball? Sleep? Do some “ready to birth” rituals with candles if that’s your thing. I’m not that woo woo but hey it kills the time and sometimes labor is delayed by fears we aren’t even aware of!
I even went to a psychic yesterday! It helped!

Same due the 26th and losing my mind

The only thing I’m annoyed about is they worried me about the baby measuring big (not an accurate measurement) and a possible shoulder dystocia months ago so my otherwise happy mainly pain free pregnancy has started to become stressful. It’s my first so she’s just going to keep getting bigger and probably won’t come out until like 42 weeks if I go without an induction

Mine was born the day before his due date. I had been scheduled for an induction and then they had to bump me. To say I cried is an understatement. After two trips to the hospital with contractions over multiple days they finally were able to get me in for an induction. So yea I was not sane. Trying to take care of a year and a half year old on basically no sleep and just aggressively uncomfortable was not it and I was getting that boy evicted whether he liked it or not.
