Hi all.
Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this
I have been EBF since my baby was born almost a month ago; and although the journey has been tough as she is tongue tied, we have had no problems with feeding up until last week when my right breast literally stopped producing milk. Like I will get a drop or two max after 30 mins of pumping and I’ve tried hand expressing too and get nothing. It doesn’t feel full at all, infact is very very soft, it hasn’t gotten engorged and doesn’t feel blocked and tbh I’ve just stopped feeding her on it because she gets nothing and becomes really fussy and just chews the nipple.
With this in mind, I have had a really angry and fussy and hungry baby who is constantly stressed, so we introduced formula at night to keep her topped up and I have breastfed and pumped through the day which seemed to work well for us. Well now my left breast is no longer making more than 2oz, 3oz at a push - I hadn’t pumped for a few hours this morning and I felt engorged but literally got less than 2oz out. Why is my supply dropping so much, I feel that I am doing something wrong?? Or my body is not providing for her??
I don’t want to stop nursing, but my boob that is still working (ish) is so so sore and she is constantly hungry as I am not making enough and it’s just making life really hard right now. Midwives didn’t have much to say other than top up with formula but always offer breast first, feeding consultant is on holiday until the end of the month and really now I’m at the point where I’m just going to give her formula. Any tips or friendly advice would be great.

Something similar is happening to me. I am going to a doctor to get my hormones checked because I had PCOS issues for many years, and I wonder if my testosterone level is not too high again.

Keep pumping meanwhile to keep supply as high as possible
