Apparently I've had a UTI brewing for a few weeks and only now getting symptoms but I'm in agony, every time I stand up I'm in so much pain and my heart rate is increasing to the point I'm nearly fainting... Surely this isn't normal? My midwife said it's perfectly fine 🤦♀️ I'm waiting to speak to my doctor tomorrow for antibiotics

I'm just recovering from one. They're horrible. Mine has been combined with a chest infection: every time I cough I pee!!
Antibiotics have helped with the pain within 12 hours.

I feel your pain, I just started taking antibiotics today. Symptoms started last night and because I’ve had them before I had a wee sample at the doctors this morning. By the time I had antibiotics I was weeing blood and paracetamol isn’t enough to mask the pain 🫠 it’s the worst, but once you’ve taken about 2 doses of antibiotics the pain is gone and everything goes back to normal. Good luck tomorrow! 🤞🏼💊

I’ve just posted about this! Should of scrolled down first! 😂
I’ve just started getting pain, like pressure in my lower abdomen and back pain started today! I’ve had 1 lot of antibiotics the second lot are waiting at the pharmacy for me to collect tomorrow! Just want something to work! After googling it make me proper panic! Fingers crossed you get your antibiotics tomorrow 🤞

You can take AZO , it's a pain reliever specifically for UTIs. They are the worst thing ever. Double check with your midwife for safety. I took it when I had one with my first pregnancy

Get some AZO stat! While it doesn’t kill the infection and you will still need antibiotics, it takes the pain and discomfort of a lower UTI away almost immediately. Google says it is safe in pregnancy. I keep some on hand at all times just in case to keep me from losing my mind in the time it takes to get to the doctor.
Also, if you have kidney pain (check by standing on your tiptoes and then falling back on your heels) or any of the symptoms in this article, you may need to go to emergency.
I had a friend who had a UTI that went to her upper urinary tract who had to go to emergency and got a shot of antibiotics. If you’re having pain when standing (not just when urinating), I think you might want to get care sooner.
