Does anyone suffer from social anxiety after becoming a mom? I think it’s because I’m a SAHM and don’t get much interaction with other adults. I don’t know how to socialize anymore and it’s so depressing. If you have did you get back to being social and if you did how ?

I struggled with this for some time. It’s all about being confident in yourself and who you are. When you learn to do that it doesn’t matter who or where you are, you can simply say and do the things you want without doubting yourself ❤️

I used this app and alcohol 🫠

Hot tip: don't waste your time on socializing with people who don't have a kid the same age. Unless they have a boat, always make time for people with boats.

I’m 100% antisocial. I’m a SAHM too. I hate being around people. My son loves people though so I try to go to the zoo or aquarium with him once a week

Antisocial over here!
I wasn’t always but I know why it changed. I went out a lot and chatted up a storm but honestly it involved drinking (and drugs 🫢). I party less so as a introverted person when I’m sober, it’s just what it is!
I was really down on myself for it for a while but then I weighed out what I was really upset about. Going out? Having a “busy” schedule? Having an over abundance of “friends”? Once I realized those were not priorities anymore, I worked out what was. Maintaining relationships with my very few real friends and making mom life more manageable with new friends in my neighborhood with babies the same age as mine. I made those by going to my local library storytime and also met a few by going to local brewery on a Sunday. Lol. Apparently that’s what all the parents in my neighborhood do on a Sunday afternoon 😂 I find it easier to make new friends with the common thread of navigating a new baby!
