More food & drinking less formula

I understand that it’s obvious he’d drink less if he’s more full from food.. but my almost 1 year old is eating 3 meals a day and it feels like he hardly drinks any milk now. He sips it. And then he’s over it. Doesn’t want much before bed like he used to. I understand that he’s obviously more full, but is this OKAY? He’s 1 year on the 28th and is about to be fully on whole milk, but is still having formula as well obviously until then.

Sometimes they just self ween themselves before you get to it! If he seems full then all is good! Also if he doesn't like the cows milk that's just fine too just make sure he's eating more veggies and dairy (yogurt, cheese, ECT.) I know it seems so unnatural to not. Or give them formula after doing it for 12 months! Your doctor will go over it as well at your 12 mo check up, my little girl only drinks 2 formula bottles now, & hates cows milk so far but we are still trying! I've heard good things about goata milk and ripple plant based milk if your little is not liking the cows milk on its own! You're doing great mama! ❤️

He seems to not mind the cows milk. He sips on both formula and cows milk. Whatever we give to him. He also thinks water is gods gift to earth. 🤣🤣

I’ve also been doing lots of cheese(loves string cheese) and yogurt since the doctor had said it’s the perfect probiotic for babies.

Thank you!!

As long as he is getting a good variety of foods and seems full he is good. He does not have to drink milk. We can get those nutrients from other foods

Keep up with a good diet. yogurt and cheese to make up for it. But he should be absolutely fine.

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Combi feeding advice

Has anyone gone from EBF to combi feeding? Currently do one bottle of EBM per night and they one half formula half breast milk mixed in the day. The other times she still feeds on me. Ideally I want to feed all day via bottle and all night with breast. She’s 7 weeks and takes a bottle well, how long should I leave it before adding another bottle to her daily routine?

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
