Baby #2 advice pls

Baby #1 is nearly 6 months and the plan was to start trying for baby #2 later this year. I am in my late 30s so don't want to leave it too late to try and don't want a big gap but have recently been reading the optimum time to get pregnant again is 18 months after giving birth, any earlier can have implications such as higher chance of miscarriage, early delivery and low birth weight. I'm so torn as I also don't want baby to be affected by my age.
Any similar stories or words of advice welcome. Starting to feel a bit stressed as feel can't win in either scenario.

Following. I'm in same boat, re age and wanting baby no2. My little boy is 6 months next week. I haven't read up on anything, so unaware of any risks x

There is 18 months inbetween my first and second. My little girl turned 2 at the start of Feb and my baby boy is 5 months and I had no problems or risks 😊 I know many other people with small age gaps too x

I was 36 when my eldest was born. We waited until he was 18 months to try for a second. We got a second and third… twins 😂
The longer you leave it, the higher the chances of twins 😆 x

I'm 37.5 with a 6 month old. I have the same dilemma as you. My husband wanted to start trying after a year, I wanted to start after 18 months due to c section recovery - we're compromising and starting trying after 14 months as we're going on our first proper holiday and will have some childcare 🙌 x

is that an actual thing? So the older you are the more chance you have of twins? Omg 😓😂

yes… this is from the NHS website

if you’re pregnant and over 35 you’re more likely to have non-identical twins because you’re more likely to release more than 1 egg during ovulation

ohh! That’s crazy. Not sure if I could handle twins and another 🤣

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!
