Hey!! What yoghurt are yall buying (UK)?
I honestly don’t really understand the nutritional table on it to see if it’s safe, like they tend to have high saturated fats - is that ok?
Also they all have sugar apparently?
Baby is nearly 8mo so not giving sugar yet
Thank you 🙏

As long as it’s plain full fat Greek yoghurt, it’s safe for baby.
Yoghurt will have naturally occurring sugars in, most foods do. Giving little one a fresh strawberry is full of sugar 🤣 just don’t use any processed or refined sugar, so don’t get all the different fruit yoghurts or anything. Mash in your own fruit to plain Greek yoghurt

thank you! I’ll do that 🤩

My health visitor told me to only buy full fat plain yoghurt (different from greek yoghurt apparently 🤷)

oh! I have a weight clinic today I’ll make sure to ask them too, thank you for pointing out or I would’ve never known 🙃

I’ve bought Greek yogurt and I’ve mashed a bit of strawberry in there. I also put some peanut butter in too to rest the allergy. Let us know what they say at the weight clinic xx

just been! They said pasteurised full fat plain yoghurt 🙃 thanks Amy for the info x

The protein is the potential worrying Greek yoghurt. Don’t want baby having too much of it. I give it to him now he’s older and just mindful of his other protein sources for the day. But it’s normally more of a mess than in his mouth 😅

oh I didn’t know we had to be wary of babes protein intake? 🙈 FTM figuring out as I go! So grateful for this app 🙃

Dw I think we’re unlikely to go over but that is prob why a health provider will say natural yoghurt.
I’ve learn most of the BLW information from a really helpful Facebook group - we’re now at 12 months and it’s been really successful :)
