As a newborn my Lb had extreme colic and reflux so he basically screamed and cried for the first seven months of his life. He started teething early and has twelve teeth so weāve had weeks on end of teething hell since 4 months. He started nursery at 1 and has been ill constantly since then. Itās like when one thing ends another starts.
He was early so has always been a few weeks ābehindā but Iām starting to think all these issues are getting in the way of his development! Thereās always something to cry about, always wants to just be held by mama.
Heās taken a few steps once but isnāt walking. āAaaaaā is his main sound, some dada and mama but nothing with meaning yet.
Iām not sure what the point of this post is but does anyone maybe feel the same or have words of advice? Iām feeling like a bit of a failure here but that I canāt do much about it.

It sounds like you've had a particularly tough time. I wouldn't worry about walking or talking until 18m. My little one can't walk independently and can only babble and say ball. Constantly ill since starting nursery also x

I used to feel the same, my little girl got really ill in the summer and we were in hospital for a while. I kept thinking her development was behind due to this, as she didn't crawl until Christmas and has only started rolling over in the last month. I spoke to my health visitor and she said every baby is soo different and will do things when they are ready, and they're still learning so don't beat yourself up, its not a competition. And tbh since she told me this I've stopped worrying as much (still do worry) but she's a happy baby, and they are still little and have so much to learn š x
