Just got back from physio appointment, even more widening of my abdomen muscles but she also mentioned that baby felt like they were lying slightly sideways, bum on my left side which is usually pushed out slightly more and feet on my right just under my ribs.
She then started asking if I had a set birth plan, I'm very much open to whatever needs to be done for safety of me and baby. Seemed to me she was hinting that I'd need a c section without saying it outright.
I have been given some exercises to do to try and get baby to turn but given I'm nearly 39 weeks she didn't seem convinced they would work.
Can't help but feeling like I've let baby down by not being able to stretch out to what they need to be comfortable and safe.
Anyone else had this and gone on to have normal delivery?

I meen my baby’s head down and was back to my left side and feet up to ribs when I got my last ultrasound, they can still roll around just not move as much,i use a birthing ball occasionally but they can also turn and shift the baby during delivery. I’m 39 weeks today, so I can’t comment on the delivery part sadly

I've been told baby's head is down but when I was doing my abdomen exercises, the physio said she could feel baby's bum sticking out and feet at other side so slightly sideways. I've been given some exercises to do with birthing ball to turn baby around. So just hoping it works.

Contact the midwife and see what she says they might send you for urgent scan x

Just wanted to say, you haven't let your baby down. There are only so many things you can do and control regarding your pregnancy. I'm pretty sure stretching out far enough is something your body does on its own and not something you could've tried to do yourself.
But I'm sorry baby isn't quite where they need to be. I haven't experienced this so I don't have any tips. I do know when my mom had me (almost 30 years ago), she said the doctors were able to turn me while I was still in her belly. She said it was pretty painful but it was either that or a C-section at the time. I don't know if that helps or not, but there's always a chance your baby will fix their position on their own. I hope the stretches and whatever else you try will work for you. ❤️🤞

My midwife told me that the baby’s position will change slightly during labour. With each beginning contraction it gets more and more in position. Before labour they can still move around a bit, but when the contractions kick in, it will, in most cases, squeeze the baby in a ‘better’ position (when the position is just slightly ‘off’) ❤️
