5 weeks started not pooing

My baby is breastfed with 4x60ml formula top ups per day. He is 5 weeks old. Since birth he has pooed around 10 times per day (mostly small yellow squirts after feeding). However he now hasn't pooed in nearly 48h and seems very unsettled. Overnight last night he was waking up every hour or less and could only be consoled on the boob but never fed longer than 6 mins (usual is 15-20). I'm waiting for a callback off the GP but thought I'd ask on here as I thought I read a while ago that at the 6 week mark breastfed babies pooing naturally slows down...did I imagine this?? P.s. we use infacol with the top up formula feeds

I do the bicycle kicks with my little one when she is suffering!! If you have tik tok or YouTube type in constipated baby or something and there will be loads of hacks that other parents have shared!! My little one loves the bike kicks followed by stretching and scrunching her legs!! We get alsorts of explosions after this! xx

Hi Phillipa...he shouts even more if I do the bicycle movements with him or tummy massages but maybe I'll give it a go in the hope that it is worth it!! Thanks!

There was another one I did with her where you hold them so their legs dangle, which stretches out their tummy! And then waggle their legs to either side! My little one quite enjoys that also! Trial and error until the poop comes! Hopefully the dr can help! Nothing worse than them being unhappy xx

Yeh I read 5/6weeks they become less frequent.
