Tommee Tippee Flask/Feeds on the go

Hi all,

I have bought the tommee tippee flask as I intended to use ready made formula and just warm when I was out, but I have since decided to make formula bottles instead.

Does anyone know how long the water stays at temperature for or can tell me if they use this for the same thing?

Just want to be sure it’s alright to use for that method or if I should order another kind of thermos flask?

If so, any recommendations would be great!

Are you making bottles from scratch for it? I have the same thing but found the nuby flask to be so much easier! You just need boiling water, add it into your bottle to the desired oz then pour that into the nuby. Add your formula and shake and in 2 minutes it makes it to temperature it flashes green when it’s ready! Works by pulling the extra heat out the milk. They’re a god send if you’re out.

You can get them brand new for £30 but most people sell them on Facebook if you’re happy to have one second hand.

We have the tommee tippee flasks, we use them at home instead of a prep machine and when our and about, really easy to use and found the water has stayed warm enough for a couple of feeds

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.
