Mammas, always write a complaint and I can assure you things improve and you will be taken seriously after that.
It is important to mention a record of events such as dates, names, what you have asked already, what you have been told, outcomes. Etc.
If you need more help, citizens advice bureau has formats and guidance on how to write a complaint.
Health professional fobbed you off... Complain.
GP doesn't prescribe enough formula... Complain.
GP doesn't give referral to dietitian... Complain
Dietitian removes formula even when you disagree or have concerns about your babies weight or growth... Complain
You baby is getting one year old and you never heard about the dietitian... Complain
This is the way to improve services.

I’m thinking of complaining tbh. The gp’s tried taking my boy off neocate saying he can have normal oat milk now (he’s only 9 months old so I know that’s bs as the dietician said not before 1). They then half assed his prescription for it and only “allowed” 4 tins over two weeks. Usually they prescribe 6 tins to last that long so now we’re really short on formula and they won’t rush an emergency prescription again (2nd time they’ve done this since I’ve switched docs after moving).
As far as nhs goes, my boys been waiting for a cardiology appointment & scan that was meant to be done before 6 months as they said if the issue is still present he’ll need surgery asap…his circulation is worsening but no one is listening to me. The paediatric nurse I spoke to the week went “your first?”. I nodded. She replied “yeah, you can tell”.
Like wtf 🙄 xx
both can do it, but GPs avoid making referrals.
Yes, you can check with your GP or ask for another HV to check.

Who do you complain to? My surgery is so useless, i doubt they'd even take notice if I complained directly to them
