So I had my first baby yesterday and I’m just wondering how everyone else took care of their stitches after birth??

Just rinsing it with warm water in the shower and changing my maternity pad really regularly!
Congratulations on your baby 🥳

thank you sweet!
Congratulations on your little boy 🎉

In addition to washing shower, I also got a peri bottle to squirt after every pee cause wiping is uncomfy. I then dabbed it dry with some paper! & big yes on changing pads and regularly as possible! X

I had ordered some Solarcaine aloe spray, which I would spray on my bits after using my peri bottle whenever I went to the bathroom! Has a numbing effect and really helped for those 10 days in/stitches starting to tighten & itch feelings

Spritz for bitz has been amazing to help soothe, i found it better when sprayed onto the pad! But yes the above definitely do!!! X

peri bottle is your best friend girl , don’t push yourself too much! i made that mistake and was always so sore after doing my too much! i also used witch hazel pads when i needed soothing! Tucks are a good brand. Hope this helps and congrats!!

Epsom salt baths are a lifesaver

I used to have a cup of water I used to pour whilst peeing to dilute my pee as would burn like hell in the beginning. Also: Ice packs/ frozen maternity pads were a god send a f helped with swelling and pain

Perri bottle all day longgggg x

Bathing 3 times a day with lavender, maternity pads and lots of rest x

Peri bottle definitely
Congratulations ❤️❤️ what a relief to be on the other side 😍

Peri bottle saved my life after my stitches! Washing with warm water and pat drying.
I also used a donut cushion to sit on, as it took the pressure off.
Ice packs / frozen maternity pads also helped with swelling & pain Xx

Congratulations! Padsicles - adding aloe, witch hazel & a little water to a pad and freezing it. Helps numb the pain and as it thaws it still absorbs any bleeding.
