How many Oz?

Hi! I have a 8 day old baby boy and was wondering how many oz is normal per feed? We’re currently giving about 4oz per feed every 3/4 hours so he has about 6 feeds a day!

Is this normal/okay? Feel like I keep seeing that most feed 2/3oz per feed at this age?

Thanks!

We have an 8 day old baby girl and she’s feeding every 2-4 hours. She has been taking anything between 35ml-90ml per feed x

My little girl was on 3 oz until around 14 days then she upped to 4oz she’s now 3 weeks and still taking 4oz 3-4 hourly during the day and 4-5hrly overnight

Mines 4 days old and has started taking 3oz some feeds today 🤣 I’ve never listened to ‘recommended’ Amounts and always followed babies lead! Did it on my first and now with my second too xx

I was the same I just listened to baby and with the longer stretch at night it’s not necessarily recommended but she’s gaining weight and hasn’t lost anything even in the first few days post birth but my health visitor stated they shouldn’t go more than 4hrs but I believe if she was hungry she would wake

Thanks everyone! Makes me feel better that I’m not over feeding him, he does seem very happy on 4oz!

Our little one is 2 weeks old and just upped to 4oz every 3 to 4 hours. She can go maybe 5 once during the night. From day 1 she was taking in 3oz every 2 to 3 hours but she's a big girl born at 9lb 3!

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
