My little boy had it as a baby a couple of times and I used the Frida cradle cap kit which worked really well. But now his hair is much longer and thicker I’m not sure what to do..
I thought about using oil to try and soften it then using a fine tooth comb, but I’m not sure he’d tolerate it. Would cradle cap shampoo work? Anyone else had this with their toddler and managed to get rid of it?
Leaving it doesn’t seem to be doing anything and I think it’s just getting worse.

Loyon cradle cap treatment worked really well. I got it from boots.

Use baby oil and nit comb and comb it out daily
It will soon go

Only thing that worked for my 2yr old was denitox cradle cap shampoo and alternating with e45 dry scalp shampoo was gone in a week

did you have to comb with this as well or just using the stuff was enough?

I think if I’m going to need to do that he’s going to need another hair cut 😆 it’s too long to wash every day! And I guess I’d need to if I’m slathering him in oil 😂

did you need to comb it as well?

We're the same but even worse! I also used dentinox cradle cap shampoo with the my little coco balm. Can only use if not leaving the house though as pure wax 😂 then used nit comb to get biggest bits out.

you spray it in and leave it on overnight then wash it off. Though I put it on in the morning just to keep an eye on it then washed it off at bedtime. I used a nit comb to comb it out before the bath to get the big bits out.

My son’s cradle cap never went away and became scalp dermatitis - the doctor said that if your bab still has cradle cap-looking flakes after they’re one years old then apparently it can’t be cradle cap anymore and has to be another condition. So I would advise seeing your GP, ours prescribed some topical steroids and a medicated shampoo which is working well. Good luck!

ooh that’s interesting. Thanks I may make an appointment..
