Maybe try different kinds, cows milk can be hard on bellies so many she’s not liking that feeling. I’d try soy milk, seems to be the next best thing!

I don’t know why soy never crossed my brain 😂 I’m definitely going to buy some and try it out

There's also Ripple kids that is especially made with little ones in mind (made from peas)

I was going to mention ripple

Same situation here! She hated all milk! I tried all kinds and brand 🥲 but now she gets a milk pouch once a day, Once upon a farm released A2/A2 milk pouches so I was happy 😊

I mixed her formula with cows milk and little by little giving her more cows milk than formula and she did well it took about 1-2 weeks

my girl stopped at like 13 months. Tried different mills, toddler formula.. different cups/bottles. She was NOT having it lol she just decided she didn’t want it anymore. My pediatrician reassured me that some kids don’t drink milk. I just make sure she is extremely hydrated and gets the calcium and vitamin D from foods.

What about trying whole milk greek yogurt with some honey and fruit? That way little one gets some milk without having to drink it. Sam's club has honey & vanilla whole milk Greek yogurt from the brand member's mark that my little one loves

Kids don’t necessarily need milk as long as she gets calcium and vit d. You can get these through other foods including fortified cereal.

I appreciate all of you and I’m taking notes!! And it’s crazy because my pediatrician said she NEEDS it because she’s half my height at one 🥴🤣

Blend it with fruits if she doesn’t like the taste of reg milk

My son drinks soy milk…you can also try smoothies or serving milk in cold or hot cereal

I have always hated milk even as a baby. My mom said I refused to drink it. You just need to make sure your baby is getting enough calcium and vitamin D from other sources 😁

My son won’t drink it either but he’s also still breastfed. I make him fruit and veggie smoothies with it. He also has Greek yogurt. I don’t blame them as I don’t like milk either.

Avatar

yeah I’m not a milk person so I don’t blame her but her pediatrician is making it seem like a big deal

Avatar

@nala my son’s pediatrician is the same. I spoke to a friend and she told me not to worry about it and how her kids get vitamin D from other sources. I decided to trust what she says. Both her children are fine. Plus there’s always multiple ways to do things. Research and go with your gut.

enfamily polyvisol is a vitamin supplement that you can give her if lack of vitamins is a concern

Avatar

they said its calcium and iron

Avatar

yeah she’s fine also she loves to eat hates to drink milk😂 I’m sure she gets it in other things that I just need to give to her more often

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.
