Mama's who are feeling movement already...

I love posting and getting peace of mind on this app I feel like I post once a day lol but besides that..... to the ladies that are already feeling movement.. are there days where you feel baby active pretty much all day and then the next day don't feel much movement? Is there a pattern yet? I'm only 20 weeks so I'm trying to see what's normal and what's not.

That’s completely normal at 20 weeks.

Yeah, this happens. I think it's because they are still pretty small. I read on the What to Expect app that they have clear sleep/wake cycles so now I'm trying to track that part.
My baby went two days without me feeling anything and I freaked but I played this: https://youtu.be/dYw4hCDCdA8?feature=shared and he moved 😅

(I'm 19 weeks with anterior placenta)

Avatar

@Lakeisha I heard that can happen with an anterior placenta... I have a posterior so I'm pretty sure that's why I'm expecting a lot more movement

Avatar

Mine is posterior and don’t believe all the hype 😂

@Shelly thanks I believe you lol how many weeks are you?

I’ll be 22 weeks Thursday. I called my OB about something else at about 20 weeks with a concern similar to your original post and she reassured me it can be normal. I get a quick ultrasound at every single OB visit since the first and my baby is extremely active. I just don’t always feel it.

Avatar

@Shelly ya mine is extremely active at my anatomy scan last week ... have you established a pattern yet at 22 weeks

Avatar

I haven’t really been paying attention. He has been more active today for some reason. Maybe that’s just the beginning lol

I never noticed it until the last few days, the other day my baby moved all day long from the moment I woke up, to the point he was keeping me up all night that night, and the next day he didn’t move as much and it worried me, yesterday same thing and today he’s been moving less but the last few hours he’s been kicking a lot

Avatar

@Des have that's how I feel today like her kicks are softer than yesterday ... . Have you been checked out? I called the on call doctor and she said find a time where you notice baby has been active and count 10 movements in that hour ... I chose 4:30-5:30 today because she likes to kove when im at work and she moved like 16 times so I calmed down a bit... but right now she has no set pattern and I'm just anxious

Avatar

For the past 2 nights she has been moving at night so that might be another time I count her movements

I just tried playing the video for fun and it worked! I could literally see my baby kicking. Before I only felt it. Very cool thanks for sharing

@Sophia how long did u play the video for?

Avatar

I think around 2 minutes before I started seeing the kicks

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
