Sooooo I work 28 hours a week and get paid biweekly $26.37 an hour. I recertified my snap about a few weeks ago and I just received a letter stating that they will close my case bc I make too much money for a family of three, (me and my two kids). I made around $200 more than their guidelines. With rent and childcare, I barely have any money left.
I still need to submit my documents on the access HRA app and hoping they give me benefits.
Has anyone had a similar situation like me?

I'm sorry but if u get paid 26.37 hour and work 28 hours week don't c why u need benefit u should count urself lucky to get what u get paid

They literally just got mine too smh

why come here to troll people? You live in the middle of nowhere. I am British and live in New York and 26.37 is not high pay. OP will struggle to get by without assistance and assistance is not like it is in the UK. There’s much less and it’s much harder to come by. Why don’t you get a life and stop finding random posts to troll people on when this is supposed to be a positive app. It’s pretty pathetic. Have a nice day!
Yes I get paid biweekly, and yes it’s tough out here. I was working part time since I was still on paid family leave and taking my days intermittently. I’m going back full time soon . But I also have school loans to pay…. I guess I’ll take the L 😭

$26.37/hr for a mother of two children is NOT anything to be considered lucky about. Do you know the cost of groceries? Bills? Rent? Her expenses will add up. No need to be rude.

Counter it. Submit the case to be reviewed by a judge. I got denied and as soon as I had my court date they granted me benefits.

Do you work part time I would cut my hrs for two weeks then rectify sorry this sucks I have the same issue
no not at all bc I work for a non for profit. If I take two weeks off , I would be on Paid time off and still get paid 😭😭. I’ll appeal let’s see if that works.

Look into Biden’s student loan repayment. There’s a way to have it get paid off for you.

Not sure how you got cut off as you are a family of three. The cut off for a family of 3 is 3108 a month with a annual income of 37,296. Do you receive child support or have additional income. If you’re still on paid family leave and working part time they factor that income in as well. You’d have to reapply once you return from leave and no longer have those additional benefits. Sadly, I believe SNAP doesn’t factor in child care which is a major deduction in income. NY is tough. I was cut off as well and still find myself struggling with the salary they consider affordable.

A friend of mine reduces her hours worked in the week or two before she has to submit her documents for recertification. Maybe you can do the same (give or take a few hours) and submit your paystubs for reconsideration. It often works!

@Ray 1st off I didn't know wer she was from etc all I knew that u wer lucky to get 12 hour wer I'm from only had that information to base it on

Ok well here’s the trick ladies… you have to give four pay stubs… sooooo that would mean you would need to stay out of work for a week to insure your pay 200 less . This will get you 6 months to a yr before you recertification
