Idea to elevate baby crib height ?

Mama’s,
I have this IKEA crib for our LO which has only two height settings. I needed to bring it down as my LO started to stand up holding the crib rails and could fall. Now this last level is soooo low I am not able to reach down to transfer her once slept in my arms. She wakes up :(. It’s only been two days we made this change and she is not sleeping there any more. Any idea how I can elevate a bit so that it’s not too low and I can easily transfer her ? One thing that crosses my mind was to get another mattress and use it as cushion. Like how we use box spring for our beds. Attached before after pictures of the crib in comments. Thanks !

I have a similar crib from Ikea and at first I was unsure how I'd transfer to such a low height. I considered the two mattress thing but basically I almost put my whole torso into the crib when putting him down. And sometimes I'll hold his sleep sack with one hand to lower him like a spy movie 😂 whole supporting his head and neck/back
He did get used to after a few tries tho!

you are strong 😃. Mine’s 9 mo now and getting heavier. No way I can hold her in one arm.

Haha one hand on the sleep sac one under his back! He's 9.5 m now, its definitely not ideal, also contemplated a step stool. It's super annoying the Ikea cribs don't have a middle height for adjusting the mattress!!

I want to do that too with my LO but she screams and cries her lungs out if I put her awake in the crib :(. Another thing is that up until now (she is 9 mo) she BF’s for her naps and night sleep. Very rarely she will go to sleep in my arms without a feed. Now I am torn between “she still too young to self sleep” and “I have a spoiled her” :(.

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Baby with chronic congestion

Hi everyone! My 1 year has been a congested baby since birth almost. She breathes through her mouth so often that it wakes her up multiple times at night and she cries and screams and then struggles to go back to sleep. She wakes up every 1-3 hours and sometimes can’t go back to sleep for 2-3 hours!!! Piriton is the only thing that seems to help her sleep mostly through the night but I can’t keep giving her that!!
Does anyone have tips as to have I can do or give her? Has anyone experienced? I have no idea when I’ll get an ENT appointment and I have no idea what he can give a 13 mo :( we are desperate for sleep so any tips are welcome!! We have tried steam inhalation, saline drops, vapour rubs and everything off the counter basically!
