I'm going back to work on the 11th. I'm absolutely dreading it. How is it legal to work when you're baby is still so small? š I work from home but it's still a crappy feeling that I can't give him my 100% attention. I feel like I already have separation anxiety. How is everyone coping with this?

I start work this Wednesday and my anxiety is horrible I feel like I canāt breath all day

Best of lucky!!! You got this

Commenting cause Iām in the same boat. I go back to work on Monday and I am so anxious and terrified about it. I work in marketing and sales so my days can be long and chaotic. Luckily my husband works from home so heāll be here but itās challenging by yourself, especially when youāre a man š lol but in all seriousness, itās such a scary transition and I donāt know how Iām going to do this!

iāve been back to work for three weeks already and it sucks but before I went back to work full-time, I did a couple trial runs just with family watching my little one and the first time it was really hard and then after that itās really got easier and I feel likeitās easier to give my baby more love and attention now because Iām able to get away and breathe if that makes sense not that I donāt love my baby and I donāt miss her when Iām at work but it makes it easier to give her more loves especially when sheās being a Velcro baby or cranky

I start work on the 19th! I will be working from home. Iāve been watching YouTube video on how to set up my living room. Anxiety through the roof. We got this ladies!

are you going to be watching them while you work or daycare?

is he watching the baby on his own?

feel free to share if you find any good videos. I definitely need tips too

I understand. I'm not a fan of others watching babies either. We'll get a nanny if it becomes unmanageable.
I'm looking into a new desk too. Which one did you buy?

Thereās still a blessing with your situation that many of us donāt have the privilege to get and that is to get to work from home. I hear a lot of moms who have a WFH job the transition is so much easier than those of us who commute to work. As a working mom though I get what youāre saying, any second away from baby not by choice IS hard no matter where you are.
One thing to think about is the reason we go back to work, it is a sacrifice we are making to give baby the best life and itās something that isnāt easy for anyone no matter the circumstances.
Being a mom is rough! I hope the transition is smooth for you ā¤ļø

thanks I definitely understand it's a bit easier for me! I'm trying to think of the positive which is continuing my career even with a baby. I appreciate your thoughts.

I wish I could work from home!! I went back to work last week and 12 hour shifts away from her is sooo tough and I do not wanna put her down at all when I get home lol

yes the plan for now is to try it for two weeks on his own and see how it goes. Weāve been looking into a nanny cause I really donāt want to put her in daycare. All my family lives out of state and he doesnāt have any family so itās just us. Itās hard when you donāt have that community cause itās true what they say, it takes a village!
Also side note to your other comment - I just got my husband a standing desk from Costco and he loves it!

Yes I get it! We recently moved out of our home state so that's why we're trying to figure it out without help my husband has one but I'd like to get one too!

I totally get you! Knowing I won't give him all my attention in a week I've been trying to spend all my time with him š

I went back to work yesterday and it was really hard for me but when I got home I snuggled her even more. I didnāt grow up with a mom so Iāve been very hands on and 100% no help because of the things Iāve gone through. So I wanna make sure she knows that she has a mommy that will never put her through the things I went through. Iām only going 3-4 days out the week but itāll help me with my depression and anxiety.

aww! I'm sure you're doing a great job. It's good to work and get your mind working on other things but it's still hard

Best of luck.
