For my LO (3 months) we aim for 4 naps/ day: 3 swaddled in his crib (1st, 2nd and 4th naps) and 1 contact (3rd nap).
He’ll nap swaddled in his crib for usually 30-40 mins. Sometimes I can soothe him, and he’ll fall back asleep for another 30 mins without picking him up. Other times, he’ll wake, and I’ll do a contact nap (either sitting or wearing him) just so he can nap longer. If he wakes close enough to his next feeding time, I’ll just keep him up and play with him.
As you can see, it all varies day to day. We pay close attention to his sleepy cues during wake windows and put him down as soon as we see him getting sleepy.

My 12 week old takes 3 naps generally. 2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the afternoon, and 1 hour in the evening. They are all contact naps. She sleeps fine in her crib at night, but we haven't figured out daytime sleep yet.
Timing is roughly 9-11, 1-3, and 5-6. But those can vary day to day. We just watch for sleepy cues
