Struggling mentally & physically

First baby, 28 weeks pregnant & been diagnosed with PGP. In extreme pain which is making it hard to leave the house or do anything. But staying in and not doing anything is making my mental health worse. Just need to vent a bit 😢 still potentially 12 weeks to go & not sure how to deal with being almost bed bound everyday!

Oh mama, I had this. It is the absolute fucking worst 😭😭 and I'll be totally honest with you, nothing will really help 😩. But get a physio referral (they will expedite it for you due to time constraints), they may give you crutches which can help, try a pregnancy girdle belt. And what will actually really help is water, warm bath or swimming (even just walking in a pool), it's such a relief swimming, but be careful when you get out, it's temporary release and when you get out of the water, all that weight will come back down on top of you. Just know that it goes away really quickly after pregnancy. Try rest, you've got this, it's for your baby. Be proud of yourself ❤️

it’s nice someone knows how bad it really is! Honestly so tough and didn’t even know it was a thing until they told me. Thanks for the advice though 💖

Yeah it's rough 🤣🤣 it's what we do for our babies 🥴 hang in there. Physio will really help too with techniques for easing pain and how to move about. Avoid stairs too much. It's not forever. You'll be back to yourself in no time xx

I feel you on this, I have PGP and my god has it been hard and excruciating at times, I only have a shower over the bath and getting in and out of that is just well ooouuuccchhhh I have to put a stool next to it to get in and have my partner help and then get out so bloody slow with me holding onto my partner too, I get so embarrassed and just feel useless sometimes, driving im fine but getting in and out of the car is just unreal pain but I have to do it to get around and shopping and everything as my partner dosent drive, and after I'm done shopping and come home and sit down trying to get back up again well I have to hold onto what ever is available to keep me steady and walking up the stairs at the end of the day is such a chore, and I also can't lie on my sides to sleep at all I'm having to sit up with Pillows behind me and sleep I'm due to be induced today as baby is now a week late I really didn't want induction I'm so over this now I just want my pelvic back so I can sleep all snuggled up again TBC -

Continued- all snuggled up again ad I miss sleeping on my side and just being comfy but I also know it can take up to 6 ish weeks to get there, sorry I know that not probably what you want to hear all that but, you get threw it somehow you get threw the crappy pain because you want your baby you know why your doing it yes at times I just wanted to give up and break down and I did quite a few times but we will always get back up and carry on I wish you all the luck in the world x

I had a similar time. It is SO hard, I also had a 3 year old to entertain and could barely walk. My only input is know that it’s temporary and it will pass. Sending love x

no it’s nice to have some honesty. I hope your induction goes well. You’re right, it’s all worth it in the end 💖

I have no idea how you’re doing it with another child to look after, you’re a superhero! 💖

Avatar

You will do it too!! Hope the next few months go quickly. Good luck x

@Lucy thank you very much, just gotta wait for them to call me and that could be anytime, if they haven't rang before 2 then I have to call them so going to be a long day on very little sleep because you know brain and over thinking things aboyt today had like 4hrs maybe but again all worth it x

I can relate. Get a pgp support belt. Another mum on peanut recommended it and its allowed me to continue training. Before I could barely walk or stand. Persevering with its help has allowed for strengthening and a massive relief in the severity of the pgp

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Pumping advise

FTM to a 2 week old! I’m breastfeeding and then giving one formula bottle last in the evening before bed. I want to start expressing milk to give me some breathing room and also allow my partner to be more involved in feeding. I’m finding the idea of introducing pumping into my day quite overwhelming though. I don’t want to take milk away from my baby by pumping if he needs it during the day when being breastfeed.

Can anyone advise how I start pumping and when to do it? Thank you!

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.
