I'm dying ! I don't think I'll survive few more days without sleep. My little one is 16 weeks and he's been waking up every hour at night and feeding. Earlier there were days where he used to wakeup after 4hrs stretch followed by 2/3hrs stretch.
Any tips on surviving this phase ? Can shifting to formula might help in longer stretches ? He's currently EBF
Oh and Don't even ask me about day naps . They are even more hard as well, have to swing or rock him for 1:30 hrs so he could take a 30 min nap.
Wonder weeks app says, this is going to last until March end.

I am currently going through the same thing! My little one ONLY sleeps if he’s on my chest and when he does sleep, it doesn’t last very long at all! I wish I could give you tips but I’m all out of ideas and currently looking for tips too! I’m sorry girl! Maybe we can figure this out together!

Hang in there! It’s hard! But I have my second who is now 13 weeks and she sleeps through the night now after we put in place the same sleep principles that we did for our first. Major callouts are that we used the ‘Takin Cara Babies’ sleep course and highly recommend… also make sure to try and lay your baby down awake for at least one nap a day. Give them a chance to put themselves to sleep with some encouragement (explained in the sleep course). Babies who can put themselves to sleep are able to get thru this regression easier! As their brains change, they need to learn to consolidate their sleep. It’s easier said than done of course so highly recommend you look into sleep training courses!

formula at nighht. dim lights
makinf them sleep at same time..

My boy is going through the same thing. But last night he actually slept ALMOST 9 HOURS!!!! I was so happy! I would just say be consistent. We started putting him down at night still awake but sleepy. And whenever he would cry, pick him up, pat him, and when he's calm. Put him back down. Sometimes it takes 15 times. But eventually he gets the idea that he is staying in there. During the day he still naps on me everytime. But at least for night he sleeps in his crib.
He also is EBF. If formula works for you, that's great. But your babe will learn without switching to formula. He also could be waking and not actually hungry. But the nursing is his comfort to go back to sleep. Once he learns to self soothe he will sleep through the night again.

what if he just screams when I lay him down? I let him for 30 seconds to a minute and then pick him up because I feel terrible. No matter what I do, he just screams unless he’s on my chest.

Oh my boy does too when I first put him down. I walk away for a minute and then come back, pick him up, pat him and rock him for a second until he calms down and then I put him back down. Usually after a few times I notice he gets sleepier. But if I notice he's more awake I'll nurse him again until he's sleepy. Sometimes it will take awhile. But I just try to stay consistent. My boy literally wants to be held all the time and will fuss whenever he isn't in our arms. But now he's gotten pretty good about self soothing at night. He likes to lay on his side and I know once he starts rocking to the side he's about to fall asleep.

I tried rice cereal and he refused to drink his bottles so I’m not sure what to do now. I really thought it would help

In the same boat, hear for the advice

took the course and been following almost everything apart form laying that baby awake, somehow I’m already exhausted so I keep rocking him until he falls asleep and didn’t had guts to put him down while he’s awake 🥲

thank you so much Amber !
