When is it safe to put cereal in my baby's bottle? He's 9 weeks old and he will eat 4 oz and maybe an hour later he's hungry again. So sometimes he's eating 6-8 oz in an hour. It seems to get worse at bedtime. When can I put a little bit of cereal in his bottles to fill him up?

I would ask his pediatrician. I've always been told 5 months or older

When he's ready for solid foods. Usually 6 months. However it's never recommended to be put in bottles as it's a choking hazard.

There’s actually a formula called AR that has rice in the formula already and is safe for infants. That’s what I have my baby on for less spit up!

Hi mama have you tried introducing a larger bottle at bedtime? However if he won’t take it, maybe talk to your doctor. I know some people do add cereal to bottles to thicken it even before the recommended time frame for solids. Your baby’s doctor will likely allow you to introduce more solids when he can hold his head up which is usually around 4 months
