I started my birth off in the birthing center, there's nothing to arrange really! When you go into labour and are assessed by triage you let them know you want the birthing centre, if it's available they will take you there! Hope this helps 😊

thank you! I’m just confused because the doctor told me I have to arrange it with the midwife but the midwife isn’t letting it happen 😩

Yeah I told the midwife countless times but she just said i could have it if it was available! The midwife I had in the birthing center was lovely aswell!

I think it depends on whether there is a room free at the time you want it, and your circumstances and situation at the time your in labour. With my first it was a no as I was on a monitor and had been induced and in over night. With my 2nd I was having contractions bent over the reception desk. So I was quickly examined, wheeled down and asked where I want to go on the way through the corridors 😂 she said the birth centre is free let's go for it
