I have been in the Feb 2024 group but I had my little girl 1/9/24. I was induced due to preeclampsia and ended up having a csection because the induction failed. My daughter’s name is Francesca but we call her Frankie. She is the freaking light of my life!
At 4 weeks old she was diagnosed with CMPA (cows milk protein allergy) and she has terrible reflux that she is medicated for. We still struggle with keeping her asleep most times because she will have a choking/reflux attack and it makes me so sad for her.
We try to stick to the same routine everyday and because she is now formula fed, makes it way easier! We stick to the same hour window for her morning bottle and the same hour window for bath and bed time bottle. She can sleep in her bassinet alone for 2 plus hours but again, reflux is brutal. She goes 5 hours at night and I have a feeling she will drop her middle of the night feed soon as she barely wakes up and takes only 1-2 oz.
Look forward to connecting with the January mamas!

Welcome to ✨January✨

hi she’s adorable!! 🥰 what were the signs of her milk protein allergy?

I was exclusively BF and she always looked like she was in pain after eating. Lots of spitting up and projectile vomiting and crying. Her poop also changed to a weird color and the doctor tested it and it had some blood in it. She had a persistent diaper rash that wouldn’t clear even with antibiotics. It went away when we switched her to soy formula

poor babe :( my lo spits up a lot so i’m wondering if that’s projectile vomiting? he definitely has reflux and cries after being set on his back after eating and looks like he’s in pain. might cut dairy out and see if anything changes!

I mean it can’t hurt! It takes about 2 weeks for the dairy to clear the system! The projectile vomiting is pretty distinct. She once projectiled into my chest and there was some decent pressure behind it. Felt awful
