Hello everyone! So I’m currently going through some investigations for potential Endometriosis but the consultant thinks I might have Andomyosis 😭
I’m just looking for a bit of support/advice from some fellow women who have this horrible disease?
Long story short, but I don’t speak to my mum due to her calling my pain “pathetic” and “dramatic” - and I don’t have any other female family members to talk to 😞

I have suspected adenomyosis also.
I have had two laparoscopies in the past 7 years. The first they only found scar tissue, no live endometriosis, and the second they found live endometriosis and they suspected more serious adenomyosis. They put me on a waiting list for a more serious operation back in March, after my most recent laparoscopy, but I then got pregnant in the May. I am currently in the process of trying to get another appointment with the gynaecologist to see what’s happening now that I’ve had my baby.
My suspected adenomyosis impacts my bowels. It literally feels like someone is shoving a sword up my bum hole for 2 weeks each month. I am in excruciating pain anytime I even need to fart.
The operation the ‘cure’ it would be to have part of my bowel cut out.
Unit I get somewhere, my GP has put me back of the pill which doesn’t have a break, so I don’t have to have periods.

Hello, feel free to message me. Sorry about your mum being unsupportive! That's horrible.
I lost a lot of friends after my diagnosis so I have some idea of the injustice you feel.
I have moderate adeno managed by mirena IUD and breastfeeding and I had severe endo removed surgically but surgery didn't improve pain just the mirena did. I did conceive though so maybe the surgery helped there. I was so scared during the pregnancy but was all fine and baby v healthy in the end. I took extra progesterone the first 16 weeks to help maintain pregnancy as these illnesses reduce your progesterone. After week 16 the placenta is developed and it creates the progesterone for you so you can relax about that.
Hope I can give you some hope. Aged 23 I thought I was headed to a hysterectomy now 29 I have a baby and my quality of life is ok. I wouldn't consider a hysterectomy anymore. It took a lot of lifestyle and diet changes to help though as well as the mirena iud.
Before ttc I also had amitryptaline for pain
