Pacifier

My little one is 11 days and she is a big time comfort nurser! She is EBF -which is my biggest goal. I’m considering giving her a pacifier but really don’t want to mess up breastfeeding. Just looking for advice or experience from other moms.

@Daniella hey there! It is recommended to introduce a pacifier only after breastfeeding has been well established. That’s usually around 3-4 weeks, but it can vary with each breastfed baby. If you feel like your baby has a good latch and you have all the signs that’s feeding is going well then they could be ready to try a pacifier. There’s a lot of pacifiers to choose from, but you’ll want to go with one that is less likely to cause nipple confusion. A few on the top best pacifiers list are Philips advent, Tomme Tippee ultralight, and Nuk comfy. I would do research into those pacifiers and maybe even try out a few different ones until you find one that suits your baby. We tried quite a few with our baby and he definitely developed a preference

Thank you for your very informative reply! I appreciate it
