Why don’t more people use glass bottles? Plastic doesn’t even heat high enough to properly sterilize. they also last longer? We have glass and heating up a bottle in the middle of the night is 10x easier considering the glass holds heat better. I want to hear other’s opinions regarding plastic because I just don’t understand.

Plastic is lighter for baby when holding their own bottle. Definitely perfer glass though I find it cleans so much better too!

I agree, I prefer the glass due to sterile reasons. I purchased comotomo bottles and noticed they seem discoloured after some time. I also noticed inconsistencies when heating. For the price I’m not impressed at all.
I get that. My 3.5 month old holds her own glass bottle no worries or concerns though. Is that not normal for others in your opinion? I didn’t know it was a problem if so 😓

Glass bottles can contain a TON of heavy metals that are bad for baby and the batches are never consistent with the metal content. Plastic very much can heat high enough to sterilize, but steam sterilization is usually best since steam reaches higher temperatures than water alone. It’s more about the temperature of the sterilizing agent rather than the temperature of the material
