Is anyone else struggling with the idea of moving their baby into their own room? We’ve been away for the weekend at the in laws and my baby has done so much better having more space in the travel cot and I think she’s now outgrown the next2me. I plan to keep her in the travel cot for a few days when we get home and then move her into her cot in her room and sleep in there for a while on a blow up mattress (she will then be 6 months). Unfortunately her big girl cot is just too big for our room. I’m really going to miss her, my favourite thing is turning and seeing her smiling face at me first thing in the morning ❤️ she’s still waking up at night for breast feeds quite a lot (often 5 times).

Yes I really struggled but it was clear he was starting to find the next2me uncomfortable. I put him in a travel cot in our room for 2 weeks and have now moved the travel cot into his bedroom. Honestly I was so upset at the thought of him moving but it was clear we were disturbing him when we were coming into bed and throughout the night.
After the first night in his room I felt so much better about it and also getting to gut our bedroom of all the baby stuff and finally have my own space again it’s been amazing. So I literally went from a complete wreck about it all to absolutely loving it and feeling a little bit more like myself again 😊
thank you! That’s so helpful to hear - I’m sure after the first couple of nights I’ll feel better about it ❤️

My baby is 6 months next week and I have no plans to move her yet! But she’s also fine in her next to me and not too big yet. I hate the thought of her being in a different room 🥺 I’m just gonna wait a bit longer til I’m ready and she needs to move, for now we’re happy as we are x
