I'm freaking out and need some reassurance/advice.
I've been making up formula feeds and keeping them in the fridge for a few hours (i know youre not meant to do this but id heard so many people do it i thought it would save time)
Yesterday we took our 7 week old daughter to the out of hours GP as she had diarrhoea ans they think it's viral, but I didn't want to take any chances so me and my partner said going forward we will make up feeds as and when we need them in case it's that that's given her a poorly tummy.
When we got back from the GP my partners family came round and we forgot to take the made up formula out of the fridge. My MIL has just fed a small amount of a bottle from the fridge to my baby - the formula was nearly 48 hours (wayyyy too long).
I'm so so scared my babies going to get seriously sick. She's already got a poorly tummy and I'm terrified this will seriously hurt her. I feel like an absolutely awful mother forgetting to take it out of the fridge and throw it away.
Please has anyone else done this? Did you do anything to help or is there anything to observe closely?
I called my local midwife line and she just said she may get a poorly tummy and that's OK, but to look out for any more changes in her behaviour

Honestly mistakes happen and don’t feel guilty. I’m sure it happens all the time for mums who make bottles and put them in the fridge.
I have never had it happen to me as I EBF and both mine have decided to hate being bottle fed 🙃
