I’m 15 weeks and sometimes I just get so busy in life I forgot I’m even pregnant and sometimes feel distant from the baby. Like it doesn’t even feel real I’m carrying our baby.
I’m so so excited & we had been trying to conceive for a year. I think sometimes it just feels too good to be true. When I found out the gender it started to feel real again. But I think I’ve gotten so busy in my routine I kind of have been forgetting about all of it.
Any advice to feel closer & bond with the baby? Potentially when I feel him kick it’ll start feeling real. It’s hard to explain. I just want the baby to feel loved.

We tried for about 3 years and lost our last 2 babies. I’m 14 weeks (furthest I’ve been) now and definitely forget I’m pregnant still. It feels more real having bought some clothes (we don’t know gender) and hearing their heartbeat but I don’t know how real it will be until I feel them moving and then hold them in my arms. I think that’s okay. Maybe planning your registry and starting to buy things will help make you feel closer.

Your baby is loved! You’re taking care of yourself and therefore of the baby. Once the baby is out then you’ll be able to actually bond etc but right now it’s normal that you forget about it as it’s just within you growing, you don’t see it and don’t need to do much about it, just eat healthy and take vitamins. You’re doing great

I feel that way too. I’m 16 weeks along with my first and I do not yet feel a connection to my growing baby. A part of me feels like this isn’t real, so maybe it’s a defense mechanism? Or maybe when my bump is really evident it’ll kick in. In any case, I’m not too worried about it and I don’t think you should be either - it’ll happen!

I feel that way too! It I definitely think as we get further along and begin to show more, if you aren’t already, it’ll get realer to you! Me too!

This is very normal, don't beat yourself up. You will have a lifetime to go through all the feels once you meet your little one soon🥰🥰

For me it still don’t feel real I never thought I would be I tell everyone it will feel more real when I get to feel the baby moving and I can wait till then I sometimes forget that I am then I’ll sneeze or something and have a small cramp and I am like oh yeah

I also am having trouble feeling a connection. My husband keeps asking me if I’m excited and I just don’t feel anything yet. I’m 13 wks

I think this is normal. Once you start feeling the baby moving all day, I think it creates a relationship and your feelings may deepen.
