Workout tips!!

Hello beautiful friends,
I’m 10 weeks expecting my first baby and I’m wondering what exercises are safe — and not — to do. Pre pregnancy I was super active, running, lifting, doing Zumba, working out 5-6 times a week. But now I’m hearing a lot that having a high heart rate can be bad for baby and to be careful with exercises. Any tips for this??

My OB told me not to go above 140 bpm, but that's such old advice, based on zero evidence 🙊 Basically whatever you were doing before, if you can tolerate it, you can do it now. As pregnancy goes on, I find it harder, or different, to connect with my core, and that's been getting in my way on certain moves. I don't feel comfortable with the pressure on my pelvic floor while running, but I can still do small range air jump squats at 24 weeks. I'm an orthopedic PT, and I see a pelvic floor PT regularly to make sure everything is ok. I was basically unable to work out from 7-11 weeks, other than a few bursts of energy, but 2nd trimester has been better for me. I'm sure you've heard it a million times, but being hydrated makes a huge difference! Finally, I've been using Move Your Bump for a workout routine, and I've heard that Every Mother is great too

My doctor found out that since I got pregnant my heart rate has been elevated a little bit so she suggested I cut back on what I used to do. I used to do a lot of cardio, strength training and jogging, now I cut back to yoga, Pilates, walking for about an hour or maybe 30 min on days I feel a bit meh and using my stationary bike

Dads app!

I have been using this app for the last 6 months ish and found it brilliant for advice and making friends. My partner though doesn’t have any male friends who are dads and I was wondering if anybody knows of anything similar to this app that he could use to find some other dads local to us, to chat to/get advice/make friends etc. anyone any ideas? ☺️
