My parents came to visit us this weekend, my husband was out of town. My dad yelled at my 10 month old in a moment of frustration and now I want them out of the house. Am I being exaggerated in my response? FYI I’m also 8 months pregnant.

Nope. Throw them out.

A 10 month old doesn’t know what’s going on. Your dad is a grown man and if he can’t regulate his emotions, I wouldn’t want to be around him either. Is your dad usually like that?

Throw them out thats what i would have done

Time to re-consider if you want them to stay with you again

Get him out! A 10 month old is way too young to understand why they’re being yelled at. The Mommy bear would definitely come out that was my child

Throw them out

They have to GO ASAP!! Are you crazy yelling at a 10mth old baby?

yep all the time

He has to go! Protect your family

Definitely get that feeling of wanting to throw them out. I had a hard time with my parents trying to parent my kids. Everyone had a new roll to play because I’m giving them their first grandbabies. I told my parents that if they wanted to be parents again they can go use on my brother. He literally still needs to be told to brush his teeth, shower, go to bed, etc. he is turning 21 tomorrow and refuses to grow up.

I think that’s it! They’re trying to parent my kids, and me. The thing is whenever I bring it up they say “we are still your parents” I don’t want to deprive my kids of their grandparents but there’s an INSANE lack of respect for my role as the mother on their part. I calmly (it was hard to be calm) talked to him about it and told him if it happens again he will permanently lose his relationship with his grandsons. The thing with these statements is you have to mean it, and I do.

If one of my family members yelled at my kid i would be like first of all thats my kid not urs
