When warming up a bottle of breastmilk, how long is the bottle good if left at room temperature for before needs to be discarded? I see MANY mixed answers online.
Example: warmed up pumped milk from fridge, baby doesn't finish entire bottle, so let's bottle sit on counter until baby ready to eat again.

My lactation consultant said it’s good 1.5 up to 2 hours then needs to be discarded after that.

I was told 2-4 hours by my nurses when I was in the hospital.

The CDC website says up to 2 hours after warmed up

I have this saved on my phone! You can also print it out and put on the fridge!

My lactation consultant also said at most 2 hours

2 hrs once warmed freshly expressed is 4-6

What if you warm it up and end up not giving baby the bottle? Is it still good for about 2 hours after warmed… can it be re warmed again if it’s gotten cold/room temp?
My lactation consultant said if her mouth touches it, you can keep on the counter until the next feeding (2-3 hours). If she does not finish, then toss it. If her mouth does NOT touch the heated bottle at all, it can stay room temp for 4-6 hours. Do not put it back in the fridge after warming.
