20 week scan

i had my 20 week scan yesterday and baby was being so uncooperative, of course, its my child. the sonographer said she couldnt find her stomach and said no more other than go sit back in the waiting room and we’ll call you back in. so i made the mistake of googling what this meant and made myself panic even more. went back in after 30 mins and they still couldnt find it. she sounded more concerned this time and shouted at me for not eating at that point, baring in mind i had my lunch ready for when i got home. sickness is still kicking my backside and i dont like eating in the morning. so i went and got a sweet treat and was called back in again, THANKFULLY baby had swallowed amniotic fluid after that which ruled out any oesophagus issues. then she says baby is measuring small. my first daughter was tiny so she wasnt too worried. but then she said the heart and face couldnt be measured and looked at cause baby was laying face down. such a nightmare! im grateful i get to see baby again in 2 weeks time but i already have to have regular scans due to my first borns low birth weight. and this one has had a tendency to always be laying face down at every single scan so far…

anyway, taught me my lesson to not google… AGAIN 🫣which i absolutely willl do anyway lol

Google can be so helpful yet also our worst enemy! I find it so funny when we have scans and have to jiggle and jump to make baby move

Oh bless you. It’s crazy sometimes google. But need to be careful on there!

My 2nd boy was "measuring small" and he was 9lb2 at birth. He was 94th centile at birth.

Try not to stress over scans sometimes they can miss things but by the next scan its visable. And the growth measurements can be way off they was with both of my boys xx

definitely 🥺i think its a reassurance thing something but just dont always get the reassurance we want x

🫣🫣it blows my head off how inaccurate they can be. was u ‘big’ during ur pregnancy or did they genuinely have u believing u were gonna have a tiny dot ?

i was the same tho baby was measuring 7lbs 5 on my final growth scan last pregnancy but she came out 5lb3… thwyre just scarily inaccurate arent they! xx

my oldest was predicted 100th centile he was born 7lb exactly (39th centile), 2nd was predicted small and he was 9lb2.

With my oldest I believed it but with my 2nd I didnt stress cause of how far off they got my oldest. My 20 week scan isnt til Wednesday with this one so be funny to see how it turns out x

I had my 20 week scan and baby was curled in a ball and couldn’t measure properly, I too have a repeat appointment in two weeks time 🙄 and right now baby is moving nonstop! Typical!

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)
Thank you in advance! 🥰

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia
