Mucus plug following contractions

Ftm here.

I've been having back and period - like pains for 3 days now. Sometimes contractions are less than ten minutes apart and go on for 6+ hours overnight so I'm not sleeping. But then completely fall away in the afternoon.

My mucus plug has just made an appearance. I'm 40 weeks.

Anyone else experienced this? The not sleeping due to contractions is so hard, how am I meant to deliver on no sleep. Panicking this could go on for a few more days yet! Where will I find the energy.

Is baby imminent now? 🤞

Hey, I've been having similar period cramps and back pains over past couple of weeks, lost my plug over a week ago then had strong contractions that ramped up to 3 in 10 minutes on Wednesday...then nothing more 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think it's all good signs that your body is preparing, but also exhausting staying chilled then suddenly thinking it could be happening now 🤦🏼‍♀️

I hope you manage to get some rest, maybe try naps if you're struggling at night. Fingers crossed things progress soon 🤞🏻

I had a similar experience, although I did manage to get a bit of sleep. On the third night the contractions ramped up and were suddenly 2-3 mins apart. Baby was born around 3 hours later. I’m glad I had a slow latent phase as my body was preparing and the active labour was quick. Sounds like all positive signs! Just rest as much as you can when you get a chance, I’m sure things will progress soon

Thanks ladies. So good to hear because all that I've read makes me doubt if this is really latent labour. Fingers crossed for a bit of rest and a quick but not too painful active labour 🤞

Congratulations on your little one, ! 💛

Is this normal?

Is this little red bit on my section scar normal? It’s not oozing anything, doesn’t hurt but it’s the only bit on my scar like it so just curious! (19 days PP)
Thank you in advance! 🥰

Anyone else felt like this?

Hi, I’m 4 months postpartum, little one sleeps through the night and is formula fed, the last week I’ve felt extremely tired and very hungry! Just wondered if anyone else has felt this way/experienced this?

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia
