I think I'm finally ready to start supplementing with formula. I am super grateful and proud of our BF journey this far, but I just can't take not knowing how much he's getting and if that's why he's being fussy. Lately when I pump, I only get like 2 oz and I'm tired of breastfeeding every couple hours. He eats a ton of solids, but I'm wondering if he got more milk during the day if he would sleep better at night. I've struggled with depression and anxiety for years and I started taking Zoloft a couple months postpartum. I thought it was helping, but now I'm not sure. Anyway, I think it's finally time. I'm not going to stop all together right away, but I would love to get to sleep through the night consistently for the first time in 10+ months.
I'm not looking for any advice. In fact, I really do not want any. I just wanted to share how I'm feeling and what I'm going through. Any comments of support are appreciated. I hope you and your babies are all well.

I started supplementing at 5 months and I wished I had sooner, it is so wonderful to finally get a break from the round the clock nursing.

I supplement and it’s going really well ❤️ I breastfeed most of the time but every night he drinks 4oz of formula with dinner and then 4oz right before bed. It comforts me knowing he got a good feed before bed. It gives my body a break which is nice, and my husband can help with it. I love it and don’t feel bad about doing it at all. You got this!!

I just started supplementing at 10 months. It was such a hard decision for me, but I know I made the right decision for me and my baby. She seems so much more content , and actually has started sleeping better. You do what feels right for you!❤️

Thank you all for your supportive comments and open sharing! ❤️❤️❤️
