Can I see some bumps? 🤣

I am 23 weeks and just intrigued on others bumps around this gestation, sometimes I feel huge and other times I feel quite small and some people will tell me I’m big and others say I’m little🤣 I’m quite petite so having any belly feels huge for me 🤣

I just said to my partner ā€˜you need to get a picture of me like this’ 🤣 it’s so cute!

oh stop that’s so cute 🄺

Awh thank you! Yours is so cute and perfectly round and neat 🄺 I am 5’2 so I think us being small definitely influenced how the bump looks too! Can I ask how your baby’s measuring? At the 20 week scan I was told baby boy is on the smaller side but they said because I’m small he could just be more diddy x

Avatar

thank you🄹 i agree I think us being shorter does too! I was told at 20week scan baby boy is at a normal healthy weight but didn’t go into any more detail - I have my 24 week midwife apt next week and I think they’ll measure my bump so I can message you when I know more!! X

some people need to shut up 🤐 lovely bump! Exactly bumps show up different for everyone!

Avatar

ah that’s good! I was thinking about them measuring the bump and I just think it seems so silly because it must vary so much and I have a short torso compared to a 6ft woman šŸ¤”šŸ¤£ xx

thanks! A think a lot of people, especially those who haven't had any experience with pregnancies/being pregnant, think that in order to work well, everything needs to be "big". Big breasts mean a lot of milk, big bump a healthy baby and so on, when science has proved that's not the case...

Avatar

100%%% but then suddenly you’re too big and you have gestational diabetes and you’re gonna have a 12 pounder 🤣 people just need to mind their own business

eyyy looking lovely!!

Haha I was enraged at people commenting on my bump! Until I realised any person that does comment doesn't actually realise how it's supposed to look like! Because they don't see pregnant women on a daily basis so in their heads (subconsciously) they naturally compare it to a normal belly and the apparent shock comes from that. But every bump is completely normal and there are a lot of factors that go into its growth - hormones, fertility treatments, constipation, actual baby, how you're carrying (to the front or back) so don't take it personal if they do comment, maybe you can even get yourself to say I know right, can you believe how amazing my body is creating life?šŸ˜ŽšŸ’•

Small head reported following 20 week scan

Has anyone else had it flagged that their baby is in the bottom 5th percentile for head size?

They said everything was fine whilst we were in the scan and then I got a phone call the next day saying that it’s on the small side and we’re being referred to a paediatric specialist at St George’s. Has anyone else had this and how did things go??

Would you bring 9 week old to a family party of 35+ people?

These are also people who will want to pass the baby around and get a turn to hold him. He just got his 2 month shots two days ago

Exercise 6 weeks after c section

What movement did people start to introduce? I won’t do anything too vigorous until I’ve seen the pelvic physio as I don’t want to compromise anything that may have been extremely weakened through pregnancy! But just wondering what types of classes/movement people started off with?

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient šŸ˜‚šŸ„²
