How active are you during pregnancy?

I had a rough first 18 weeks with hypermesis so a lot time was spent in bed. I am now feeling better but working from home, I tend to only do around 5-6k steps a day and that’s with going out for a lunch time walk. Feel really sluggish and can’t seem to get myself back to being active again. I am nearly 23 weeks.

I’m really similar. I was active before getting pregnant but then felt so rough for the first 4 months. I wfh full time so do similar steps, unless I have a day where I’m glued to my computer and I don’t top 3k steps 🙈

I’m feeling better now but like I’ve lost a lot of fitness, trying to build my steps back up to 8/10k and I went swimming yesterday. I’m a bit sore today but it feels the most gentle exercise on my pregnant body! X

I am exactly the same, if I don’t purposely go for a walk its 3k steps and sat down all day.

I will try swimming, I feel ready to be active again, but know my limits.

it’s so tough isn’t it. My job has been so demanding lately but I’ve just started to make a conscious choice to put myself first from now on. I’m setting a timer and taking a break every hour and making sure I get up. Even if I potter around the house it’s better for me. I walk to pick my son up from nursery whenever it’s not raining. Going to try and fit more swims in. Can’t wait for the warmer weather, it’s so easier to get outside xx

I’m very similar find it hard to be active since being pregnant as I’ve always got low blood pressure so constantly light headed and dizzy.. I used to be really active before being pregnant I used to go on adventure walks with my siblings and do 14hr shifts at work now I struggle a lot with these.
I tend to aim to go for a walk every day however it’s not as easy as I thought due to being dizzy and light headed and my partner being at work all the hours.

Same, used to do hour dog walk every day and three 10k cycles a week, first trimester absolutely took me out and I haven’t felt much better with second and I’m 26 weeks now! I’ve been trying to up my activity, get out walking more even if it is slow, doing some swimming, but it is insane how exhausting I’m finding even the simplest things. Trying to not get too down about it, but it’s hard!

Small head reported following 20 week scan

Has anyone else had it flagged that their baby is in the bottom 5th percentile for head size?

They said everything was fine whilst we were in the scan and then I got a phone call the next day saying that it’s on the small side and we’re being referred to a paediatric specialist at St George’s. Has anyone else had this and how did things go??

Would you bring 9 week old to a family party of 35+ people?

These are also people who will want to pass the baby around and get a turn to hold him. He just got his 2 month shots two days ago

Exercise 6 weeks after c section

What movement did people start to introduce? I won’t do anything too vigorous until I’ve seen the pelvic physio as I don’t want to compromise anything that may have been extremely weakened through pregnancy! But just wondering what types of classes/movement people started off with?

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲
