My 5 month old slept in a Moses basket up until around 2 weeks ago, he’s absolutely fine with his cot and sleeps through the night. However a week ago he started rolling but can’t roll front to back so now I’m over worried and I don’t know what the next step is.. do I just keep waking myself up and putting him back on his back or what? TIA

They say they can sleep on their front if they can get there on their own. So place him on his back but leave him if he turns.
Just make sure you practice safe sleep (nothing else in the cot).
You might get woke up a few times if he wants to roll back and can’t but no need to wake yourself up to turn him over if he’s happy sleeping on his front.

There’s no need to turn him if he does it on his own and is content. When mine rolled over the first few times he would get stuck and start crying. It was a rough couple of nights, but he figured it out soon enough. Make sure to do lots of tummy time during the day so he can practice.

I trained my son to sleep in his tummy around 3months old. He loved tummy time so it was a smooth transition. Started with naps only and once I saw he was able to turn his head by himself and roll over I was confident to let him sleep that way at night. Come to later find out that’s the best position for him to sleep with his allergies according to the allergy specialist.
I was made to feel awful for doing this but I knew it was the best for my baby as his sleep improved loads but because of the safe sleep guidelines HV made me feel like I wanted to kill my child. So my advice is to do what you feel is right for you LO
