Drying baby clothes - advice

For anyone who has started washing baby clothes, how did you dry them? I'm worried about using a tumble dryer in case they shrink, but I don't have a garden so can't dry them outside, so the alternative is to use a clothes airer but I don't want them to lose softness. I do have a heated airer - would that be better? What have other people done?

I don’t have a tumble dryer or heated airer, and weather isn’t good enough for the garden, so I’ve dried all mine on the normal clothes airer. They’ve stayed soft and I haven’t noticed any issues

I just used a normal airer and anything that was a teeny bit rough I ironed, to be honest I probably didn’t need to as it was all still pretty soft x

I did 30 minutes in the tumble on gentle care then hung them up on airers and they've come out great! X

I’ve dried on just a normal clothes airer x

What washing powder did you use to wash the baby clothes?

@Shruti just the fairy non bio powder with the fairy softener

I used the tumble dryer on the baby setting and they came out really soft with no issues or shrinking x

I’ve washed all the baby clothes today, washed them with fairy non bios pods and fairy fabric softener. I’ve put them on a normal clothes airer x

I tumble dry mine. I’m not too fussed if they shrink a little as they don’t wear them for long anyway 🤣

Remember not to wash too early - you don't want them sat out for weeks and weeks collecting dust and allergens

I've popped mine on heated airer and radiator to dry them and keep softx

I’ve put mine on the air dryer and they’re still nice and soft 😊

I switch on my dehumidifier to dry our clothes and baby clothes on a clothes drying rack

I’ve tumble dried all of mine so far on the same setting so at least if i have shrunk them a little bit they’ll all be shrunk the same amount 😂

@Robyn I did the opposite. Air dried hanging overnight, then finished them off in the dryer so they don’t get smelly or stay damp.
