Baby luggage when flying

Can’t you leave the Isofix base behind and just belt the seat in whilst on holiday?

Where are you going on holiday and what cars will you be using? (Taxis or rental etc)

I actually hadn’t thought of just seat belting the car seat! Is it safe to do so ? We’ll be doing a couple of hours driving at a time

We’re going to Sardinia and renting a car :)

check the manual but almost all seats that have an Isofix base can also be belted in. As long as you belt it in correctly it’s just as safe as using isofix, the base is just for convenience. I had to start doing it recently as our Isofix base was in the car when I had an accident. I watched a YouTube video on how to belt it in to make sure I was doing it correctly 😊

In that case definitely leave the isofix at home and just belt it in. It's no different in safety than isofix, just have a practice at home so you know how to do it.

I also would not recommend planning on using the car seat as your only pram, babies can get really hot in car seats and they shouldn't be in them for extended periods of time (definitely not over 2 hours). A lie flat lightweight stroller would be best for a foreign holiday

As above, I’d recommend to check in your car seat & strap with seatbelt when you get there then take a fold down buggy that baby can lie down in & has room to keep cool ☺️
