Breastfeeding

My baby is 2 months, I’m doing both breast and formula. I’m trying to stop breastfeeding but everytime I try to stop I feel so guilty and start breastfeeding again. Any advice, motivation or encouraging words ? 🥹🤍

Any particular reason?..

I can’t into the rhythm of it, I feel all over the place with breastfeeding, I find myself giving her more formula than the breast. Breastfeeding is its own task and sometimes I get overwhelmed trying to remember to get up and pump in the middle of the night

If you have a good supply you shouldn't need to pump anymore. Both my son's pediatrician and my midwife told me to stop pumping when my son was 2 weeks because I had enough supply.

Breastfeeding does take a lot, but it is so so good for your baby and for you and your baby's bond!

I'm thinking about stopping too! I just want my body back. It hasn't been mine in almost a year and when she's comfort nursing all night (aka not even taking much milk) sometimes i just can't take it and feel overwhelmed. We've been supplementing since she was born and she's satisfied with milk or formula so I know she will eat, but there's so much pressure/stigma to breastfeed I feel guilty too 😔

yess that’s best explained!!! I think it the guilt of making her a fully fed formula baby that makes me keep going !! Sometimes she just love to be on my breast she won’t drink sometimes so it seem like more comfort for her ! I love that it’s our way of bonding but I think I’m ready to stop

Don’t let anyone deter you from doing what you wanna do, a fed baby is best ♥️ (whether formula or breastfed). I’ve been exclusively pumping because my right nipple is inverted, and my left one is normal and he prefers the left one & gets mad when trying to latch on my right one, so I’m bottle feeding with the occasional boob here & there, and people have judged me for that. Do what works best for you mama 🫶🏼

wow love this !!

I just want all moms to be supported no matter what they choose, instead of being criticized 🫶🏼

Do what you feel comfortable doing! ❤️ I’m also exclusively pumping because the first week was so hard with babe’s high jaundice levels and losing a pound in 3 days in the hospital. I couldn’t stand the thought of not knowing if he was getting enough. Fed is best and no one should make you feel like one is ultimately superior to the other one making you feel bad. Yes, it is a great way to bond with your baby, but in the end they will love you the same and you will be their comfort no matter what you decide to do. You are giving love and care and that is what is important!

I personally would still encourage breastmilk! There are so many benefits, and it actually only takes 5 ounces a day for Littles to get the benefits of the breastmilk! I don't produce much, so I pump and use formula.

Me too, I couldn’t exclusively breastfeed because i was having too many issues and it was just starting to destroy my mental health. Supplementing with formula has made both me and baby a lot happier. Don’t feel guilty for whatever works best for you!

Wdy think of this for a toddler to learn word construction?

I'm open to anything else to start teaching him to read and write. He's 3!

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7
