Facing outward in carrier

Has anyone done it yet? So many mixed messages online about when you can. My baby hates facing towards me now! Thanks in advance.

I've done it a couple of times and she loves it! Will be 5 months on 15th

Mines 20 weeks and I've tried it twice and she's just a bit too small for facing forward yet, the material still covers loads of her face but as soon as I can I will be as she loves being nosey xx

I did it for the first time round the house today. He loved it and I got the washing put away. He’s 20 weeks and has good head control.

What carriers for front facing do people recommend?

Avatar

I have the same one as and we’ve been facing outwards since about 3.5 months. She has very good neck control though & wont sleep in the carrier anyway x

I’ve done it for probably one month. My LO is 4.5 months. She loves it. I mean I only use it in the house

We’ve done it a few times recently when I know he isn’t ready for a nap so he doesn’t sleep that way. He loves it 😊. He will be 5 months tomorrow

Been doing it for about a month now, absolutely loves it which is lovely as he used to hate facing me in the carrier!
Like other people have said never do it when I know he’s tired or near a nap and on the whole haven’t had an issue with him in it - just make sure he’s not in it too long xx

Thank you all so much. Can’t wait to give it a try now 😊

I follow a few baby wearing consultants and they all say the same thing - you should wait minimum 5/6 months before world facing due to their hips and making sure they have good head control. They also say you should only wear them like this for short periods of 20/30 minutes. Whereas parent facing you can do for as long as you like (obviously with breaks for nappy changing and feeding). I hope this helps ☺️ Xx

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Homebirth?

I am thinking I want a homebirth (second baby) for a few different reasons but my husband is very against it, he is worried about things going wrong and we are a 30 minute drive from the hospital. Has anyone been in a similar position and what did you end up doing? Any advice? 🙏
