There has been maybe a handful of nights where my son doesn’t scream/cry being put down at nighttime. I thought that would be done by now. How do I get it to stop? I don’t want him associating bedtime as a bad thing every day. I hate hearing him cry for 20-30 minutes every day before he finally goes to sleep. It hasn’t gotten any better and he’s been in his own room for 4 months! 😫 He can’t be teething for 14 months, he’s not sick for 14 months and naps are pretty easy so I don’t get it! It doesn’t get better taking him out and calming him down either. He goes right back to crying being put down.

We still rock our daughter to sleep for naps and bedtime 🫠 she only "puts herself to sleep" sometimes in the middle of the night.
I personally don't really mind and don't expect her to go down drowsy. She's been in her own room/crib since 3months old.
Just commenting to say to each their own so don't feel too bad about it!!

being a SAHM I just didn’t realize how touched out/overstimulated I would get and just need him to go to bed so I could have MAYBE an hour to myself at bedtime lol no time before he wakes up either. I just need some voodoo magic to help him sleep and stay asleep. 😂 his naps are 25-30 minutes. Always have been unless we are driving but then I still don’t get a break really.

OMG that's a short nap! Oh man! Sorry girl 🙃🙃 my kiddo just started sleeping mostly thru the night the last few weeks so I finally don't hate my life. But I've always kinda hated the bedtime process, personally. Like rocking her for 30+mins sucks lol

lol right 😂 that’s nice! My son has slept 6-8 hours maybe 5-10 times. Otherwise it’s sleep 8/9pm, up at 11/midnight, 4/5am and up fully 7/8am. Hes pretty consistent so we just got used to it. He played a cruel joke on me January and February. He started napping 1 hour the first nap and 2ish hours the second nap. Back to short naps again ever since. We put him down a little bit ago, he cried for 15 minutes and he’s now watching Bluey with us. 🤦♀️ Miss my own shows and bedtime lol

have you tried switching to one nap??? It's a painful transition for like a couple weeks but yeah

he can barely stay up for his 2 naps 🙃 he’s so cranky even an hour after his naps

he will literally get dark circles and bags under his eyes after 1-2 hours 😅

oh yeah. It's a crappy transition period for sure. She would wake up at 7, insist on napping from like 10-12, but refuse her second nap and be cranky by 5ish but we just had to thug it out till like 6:30/7... it definitely took a few weeks of a transition.
And we were never strict schedule people but she kinda forced it on us it felt like lol.
Good luck tho girl! I don't have any other suggestions 🫠🙃

oh dang! He was taking a 3rd nap like 6/6:30pm and then wouldn’t sleep until 10:30pm so it is better but still tiring 😂 Might have to try that. Thanks!

I’ve heard dark under eye circles can point to a food allergy… I wonder if there is something like that going on?

oh interesting! I've also heard low iron can lead to crappy sleep in kids but don't quote me! Wonder if the two are related 🤔🤔

they only appear when he’s tired and then after his nap disappear
