i feel like such a failure. i had a c section and my baby wouldn’t latch as he started out his first feed with formula and i’ve been trying with him for 6 whole weeks to get it to work and ive been pumping the whole time but recently i’ve been doing combo feeding as my supply was lessening and he was still asking for more milk after my feed of expressed milk. that became so much work mentally that i decided i was going to stop pumping and just formula feed. anyways, today my baby is fussing and keeps going down to my nipple area through my clothes, i laughed it off cause he never latched and just thought okay ill offer it to you just to see as that was what was advised but he still never latched…. but today he latched. now i don’t have a constant supply of milk as i stopped pumping down to just one pump a day. what do i do??? i’m heartbroken thinking that i could’ve had my dream of breastfeeding but i let my milk dry up i feel like the worst person in the world right now. i don’t know if re lactation is a possibility or not im just so upset.

It is possible but can take a bit of time, if you start pumping again it will be slow to start but over time it may increase

Yep pumping but also latch him before every bottle feed you can not only will this help him and his latch but also you milk its hormonal remember pumps dont give that same hormonal release

And you’re not a failure. You’re providing for your baby, not the way you had planned but you are. He is fed and strong. You’re doing well Mama! ❤️
