Sore nipples remedies

Hi,

I'm breastfeeding my newborn (5 days old), he's cluster feeding a lot and my nipples are crqzy sore. Do you have any remedies for that exxept from the lanoline cream? Will it ever stop hurting? It doesn't hurt when he's feeding, ai know he's got a good latch but whenever he's latching on, it's like thousands of razors, will it always hurt so badly?

Have you had him checked for a tongue tie? My little one had a small tongue tie and having it cut made a difference.
The pain does stop though! I still had some pain after initially but as they get bigger, the pain stops. She’s 16 months now and I don’t even really feel her when she’s feeding x

It takes some time for your nipples to get comfortable with this if it’s your first time or even first time in a few years your nipples are probably chapped and trying to grow the proper calluses on the nips to help the skin there be less painful but lanolin’s is good and doesn’t need wiped off before feeding so if that’s not 100% out then try some otherwise maybe warm wet compress never cold bc cold slows milk production

It will stop hurting. Just stay strong

Lanolin and the silverettes combo helped me the most. I was almost pain free by 2 months of bf. It would still be uncomfortable sometimes but it doesn’t stay unbearable.

The silver nipple cups are great for faster healing!

Another vote for the lanolin cream it’s really helped me
And it took a couple of weeks I think but the pain does stop and it becomes completely painless

Until they get teeth - which is what I’m struggling with now and I hate it but my little one won’t take a bottle so I’m stuck🙃😂

The remedy that worked best for me was the combination of coconut oil on my nipples and silverettes with a little breast milk in

Silverettes for fast relief! Really helped me. I used them for 20-30mins after the feed or longer, they were great at healing my chapped nipples during the initial days

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
