Just having a mini rant feeling very down from my 4 month old’s diagnosed severe reflux. I feel like we’ve tried everything. Holding upright (if one more person tells me to do this I’ll lose it), upright sleeping, spread out smaller feeds, different positions breastfeeding, only taking bottles of breast milk, formula, elimination diets, dairy free diets, 2 types of medication, ended up having an upper GI test, I feel like we’ve tried everything for months. He constantly throws up, during feeds, right after, 2 hours after, etc and then it starts all over again because he eats. I just feel so low and sad. He is the most amazing baby in general, and this entire thing has put such a cloud over it all and I feel so shitty for saying that and feeling that way. Because he’s amazing, and it’s not his fault. Today’s just a bad day. I’m tired of being told to wait it out or it’s normal etc. he also is very slow to gain weight because of it. If anyoneeee has any idea of help or root causes or anything please help. This is exhausting

My little girl had gastric reflux from 2 month old she was prescribed omeprazole and it honestly worked so much for her, she still had little episodes where she would cry a little bit not as much as she would before, I would definitely recommend asking for it x

My daughter had omeprazole too turned her into a completely different baby x

the best thing invented for us 🤣 x

had to be the neurotic over bearing mum to get it but changed my baby so I don’t care xxx

Slow weight gain isn’t a concern if he isn’t losing weight. Is he generally happy and producing enough wet diapers? If so, then I would wait it out. Their esophageal sphincter is premature. Give it time and it’ll resolve itself unless this is not a baby issue
